Job Description
As the Data Privacy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing international data privacy compliance activities across MediaAz expansive global network. In this dynamic position, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing robust data privacy policies, procedures, and practices to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with applicable data privacy laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement programs to introduce data privacy compliance to various jurisdictions where PCCWG operates as required
- Document and maintain associated Records of Processing Activities, DPA’s , Legitimate Interest Assessments etc., and other documents as stipulated by the various international regulatory regimes
- Ensure all records are uploaded to, and maintained on, PCCWG’s data compliance platform
- Engage and support PCCWG Data Champions to support compliance activities objectives and to ensure that data privacy remains central to their processes and projects
- Review ongoing levels of compliance on a regular basis and provide gap analysis for addressing and ensuring these are resolved
- Review Data Protection Agreements for consistency with international data privacy regulations and support the business in new third-party introductions
- Support the business by reviewing ROPA’s and DPIA’s and providing feedback to achieve successful completion to ensure they are compliant with PCCWG’s requirements
- Manage a third-party data compliance program to ensure all third parties have provided the appropriate levels of documentation and evidence to meet regulatory standards
- Provide general data protection-related support to the wider business as required
- Develop and implement appropriate data protection risk methodology to frame data protection activities and minimize overall corporate risk levels
- Assist with data breaches and associated investigations as appropriate
- Manage data subject access requests and other regulatory requests from clients, employees and external individuals
Skill & Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in Data Privacy, Privacy Compliance, or other related role.
- Possesses a strong understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other data privacy regulations, especially in Southeast Asia, Australia, the EU, and the USA.
- Demonstrate high levels of integrity and professionalism.
- Experience in managing regulatory compliance activities, including overseeing internal change programs to ensure compliance.
- Experience with reviewing international data privacy laws, conducting gap analyses, and identifying discrepancies with current business compliance processes (global experience is a plus).
- Experience in completing Transfer Impact Assessments on major recipient jurisdictions is a must.
- Capable of undertaking data protection impact assessments and other similar data privacy-related risk assessments.
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) in the context of data privacy is a valuable asset.
- Holding a degree related to Data Privacy is a plus.
- Able to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Possesses an analytical and inquisitive mind with a strong commitment to supporting the business in achieving regulatory compliance.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
- Demonstrates well-developed and evident leadership skills.
